  • Why Music?
Aiea Intermediate School Music Department
Elections of student officers:
Students were nominated through their classes to choose a group of students who they thought would be great leaders and examples of the music department.  This group of students then chose who their leaders for committees would be.  These students represent both the band and orchestra classes.  Though enrollment numbers vary between the two groups, all students are expected to be able to work together to create a fun, memorable year for everyone in the Aiea Intermediate School Music Department.

Guidelines:
All Music Department Officers are required to:
  1. Maintain a “C” average in all classes.  This will be monitored through bi-weekly grade checks.  On top of the “C” average, students will need to hold a “B” average in the Band or Orchestra class that they are enrolled in.
  2. Be an excellent example to all music department students.  This includes but does not limit to:  Consistent attendance to after-school rehearsals (if applicable), Positive attitude, Arrive early, ready to go, Help clean up when necessary, Able to work with “professionally” with peers during collaboration, and Comply with all Chapter 19 rules during school and school-related events.
  3. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may or will lead to student revoking their role as a Music Department Student Officer.
